“PALMA”: THE NEW WINE BRAND FROM ADEGA DE PALMELA

Adega de Palmela has just presented the new wines, from the “Palma” brand, marking the first launch of the year 2022. With the aim of continuing to focus on its national and international growth, the wine brand from the Península de Setúbal region presents Regional Península de Setúbal red and white wine in 75cl and 37.5cl bottle formats.

With Castelão, Syrah and Aragonês varieties, Palma red accompanies International dishes, game, cheese and cod. Its ruby ​​color has violet reflections with an aroma of red fruits, evolving into some notes of jam and spices and has an expected longevity of about 5 years.

With Fernão Pires, Verdelho, Arinto and Moscatel Graúdo grape varieties, Palma White accompanies grilled or oven-roasted fish dishes, cooked or grilled seafood and salads, and can be served with appetizers due to its aromatic character. Its citrus yellow color and fruity profile, has notes of tropical fruits and green apples and has an expected longevity of about 3 years.

Prodexpo is a large international food and beverage fair in Russia and Eastern Europe

Prodexpo presents foods from all over the world, from drinks and essential foods to exquisite specialties, as well as organic and healthy foods.
Here we can see the largest showcase of alcoholic beverages and wines in Russia from more than 30 countries.
It is up to Prodexpo manufacturers to design the launch of their new products and brands. Up to 14% of novelties are presented annually at the fair.

ADEGA DE PALMELA COLLECTED MORE THAN 70 MEDALS IN NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL WINE CONTESTS IN 2021

VALE DE TOUROS VINHAS VELHAS RESERVA 2017 AND ADEGA DE PALMELA GRANDE RESERVA 2017 ARE THE BRAND'S MOST DISTINCTIVE WINES

In 2021, Adega de Palmela won more than 70 medals in national and international wine competitions, maintaining the objective of raising the brand name and the quality of Portuguese products.

Vale de Touros Vinhas Velhas Reserva 2017 and Adega de Palmela Grande Reserva 2017, considered the best wine in the Setúbal Peninsula Region, join as the most awarded throughout the year with eleven distinctions, respectively, followed by Vale dos Barris Syrah Premium Reserva 2017 that adds up to ten medals.

Italy (Concorso Enologico Internazionale Città del Vino), Germany (Frankfurt International WineTrophy; Mundus Vini Spring Tasting; Berliner Wine Trophy), Austria (AWC Vienna), Belgium (Brussels World Competition), Canada (Sélections Mondiales des Vins), China ( CWSA - China Wine and Spirits Awards), France (Lyon International Wine Competition; Concours Mondial des Vins Vinalies; Challenge du Vin; Muscats du Monde; Les Citadelles du Vin; Concours Mondial des Vins Féminalise) and England (Decanter World Wine Awards; IWSC International Wine and Spirit Competition; IWC - International Wine Challenge) were the international countries that awarded the brand in red, white, rosé and liqueur wine tastings, highlighting the Adega de Palmela Moscatel de Setúbal 10 years, which remains in the top 10 of the best in the world for the 2nd consecutive year and who won three Grand Gold medals.

For Luís Silva, Winemaker at Adega de Palmela, these awards represent “The work, effort, dedication and commitment of the entire team at Adega de Palmela and a commitment to innovation and product quality.”

In all, the brand received more than 20 gold medals with Adega de Palmela Premium Reserva White 2019, Adega de Palmela Premium Reserva Red 2017, Vale dos Barris White 2020, Contraforte Red 2019, Palmelão Rosé 2020, Adega de Palmela Moscatel de Setúbal 10 years and the Adega de Palmela Moscatel de Setúbal 2018, among many others.

Currently, Adega de Palmela has about 300 associates and 66 years of cooperativism, having an important social role in honoring the Palmela name in the world with the wines of its brand under the motto “MORE THAN MAKING WINES, MAKING HISTORY!”
